Sen. Buba Congratulates Falcon Radio Azare on NBC Transmission Licence

Sen. Shehu Buba Umar, the People’s Redemption Party (PRP) governorship candidate in Bauchi State for the 2027 election, has congratulated the management and staff of Falcon Radio 100.3 FM, Azare, on securing approval from the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) to commence full transmission.

This is contained in a statement signed by Comrade Sabo Mohammed, Adviser, Media and Communication to the senator, and made available to newsmen at the weekend.

The approval, signed by NBC Secretary-General, Gloria Makinde, followed the successful completion of the station’s test-run exercise and compliance with regulatory requirements and professional broadcasting standards.

Umar commended the proprietor of Falcon Radio for his vision, sacrifice, patriotism and determination to establish what he described as a capital-intensive project that would contribute to broadcasting development in Northern and Central Nigeria.

He recalled his visit to the station several months ago, saying he was impressed by its state-of-the-art facilities and modern broadcasting equipment.

The senator urged the public to utilise the station for advertisement, education and information dissemination.

He also called on the Bauchi Government to revitalise state-owned radio, community radio and television services.

Umar urged Falcon Radio’s pioneer staff to uphold professional standards, broadcasting ethics and responsible journalism, describing the NBC approval as a milestone for broadcasting in Bauchi State.
