Senator distributes empowerment materials to 1067 in Yobe
Yobe Sen. Ibrahim Geidam, representing Yobe East, on Thursday began distribution of empowerment materials to 1067 beneficiaries in his constituency.
Geidam, represented by Alhaji Lawan Shettima, flagged off the distribution in Damaturu.

He said that the beneficiaries were from Damaturu, Gujba, Gulani, Tarmuwa, Yunusari, Bursari and Geidam local government areas.
“In continuation of our empowerment drive, we have lined up for distribution today, 349 sewing machines, 136 tricycles, 184 deep freezers, 49 grinding machines, four tractors, 15 irrigation water pumps and 50 stabilisers.

“Others include sets of hair dressing equipment, 217 solar installation tool boxes and 67 wheel barrows,” he said.
Geidam urged the beneficiaries to made maximum use of the materials to be self-reliant.
