Gov. Buni inaugurates construction of N4.4bn Gashua-Masaba road
Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe on Monday inaugurated the construction of 25-kilometer Gashua-Masaba road in Bursari Local Government at the cost of N4.4 billion.
Buni said, “We have gathered here to flag off the construction of the 25-kilometre Gashua-Masaba asphalt road project.
“This project is awarded at N4.4 billion with a completion period of nine months.
“I wish to call on the contractors to strictly abide by the contractual terms signed with the state government.’’
He added the project was in line with his administration’s commitment to provide good road networks across the state.
Buni also flagged off the four-kilometer Karasuwa-Galu road at the cost of N1.3 billion.
He said when completed, the roads were expected to support the growth of agricultural productivity and other socio-economic growth among the people of the communities.
Meanwhile, Buni called on people of the state to intensify prayers for more rainfall and to seek Allah’s protection against flood and other calamities.
