NNL: Wikki Tourist FC pin visiting Gombe United FC 2-0

The Wikki Tourist Football Club of Bauchi on Saturday pinned visiting Gombe United FC 2-0 in their Nigeria National League (NNL) match day 8 fixture.
The game, which was played at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium, Bauchi, saw the home team, currently leading Group C conference with 17 point in the Match Day eight.
Wikki Tourists scored their two goals in the 11th and 28th minutes of the first half by the duo of Imamu Magaji and Nantake Bangs respectively.
The two teams play with all the vigour to utilise their various scoring chances.
In a post-match interview, Wikki Tourists Chief Coach, Bashir Saleh appreciated his players for the good outing.
“We really plan for it and we got it, we thank God for giving us victory because our opponent, Gombe united are also good
“We will continue to work for better results in the league, and we want to appreciate Bauchi State government for the support,”he said
On his part, Gombe united Technical Adviser, Abdullahi Umar, lamented on the performance of his team.
“Any game is a learning process, we will go back home and see where we have faulted and re-adjust, despite the home team are also strong team in the league,”he said.
