Bauchi commissioner Gabarin honoured with traditional title in France

The Bauchi State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Alhaji Adamu Babayo Gabarin, has been conferred with the traditional title of Cigarin Hausawan Turai by the Sarkin Hausawan Turai in Paris, France, Alhaji Dr. Mohamed Sirajo Djankado.

This was disclosed in a statement signed by the Secretary of Masarautar Hausawan Turai, Dr. Mubarak Mahmud, and made available to newsmen on Monday in Bauchi

According to the statement, the honour was bestowed on Gabarin in recognition of his remarkable track record in fostering harmonious relationships with the Masarautar Hausawan Turai and his contributions to strengthening cultural ties between Nigeria and the Hausa community in the diaspora.

The Masarautar Hausawan Turai urged Gabarin to leverage his wealth of experience in human relations to contribute to the growth and development of traditional institutions while upholding their values both in Nigeria and abroad.

The statement also congratulated the newly conferred Cigarin Hausawan Turai and wished him success and divine guidance in his new role.

Alhaji Adamu Babayo Gabarin, who currently serves as Bauchi State’s Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, was recently elected as the North-East representative at the Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN).
