New council vows overhaul of Sa’adu Zungur University, Bauchi

The newly inaugurated Chairperson of the Governing Council of Sa’adu Zungur University, Gadau (SAZUG), Prof. Gambo Laraba Abdullahi, has pledged to transform the institution into a hub of research, discipline, and academic excellence.
Speaking during the inauguration at the Abubakar Umar Secretariat, Bauchi, on Wednesday, Prof. Abdullahi vowed that the seven-member council would reposition the university for greater heights.
“The council will not tolerate any misconduct from management or staff. We call on the SAZUG community to support and cooperate with us in addressing the challenges facing this institution,” she declared.
According to her the University is very dear to my heart, therefore we will work with the management harmoniously to see that the iniversity has strive.
The State Commissioner for Higher Education and Regional Integration, Dr. Lydia Tsammani, who presided over the event, charged the members to justify the confidence reposed in them by reshaping the university’s future.
She reaffirmed Governor Bala Abdulkadir Muhammad’s commitment to improving the university’s infrastructure and raising its academic standards to compete favorably with peers nationally and internationally.
Dr. Tsammani explained that the previous governing council had been in place for over a decade, making the appointment of a new council necessary.
She also urged the university management and staff to fully cooperate with the new leadership.
