APC express confidence to win Ganye constituency in Adamawa

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa has expressed its confidence in winning the Ganye constituency by-election scheduled for Saturday Aug. 16.

Some of the party stakeholders stated this at the party’s rally in Ganye on Thursday.

Mustapha Ribadu, the APC organizing Secretary in Adamawa said the party would win the vacant seat at the state house of assembly.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) recalls that the seat was declared vacant after the demise of Abdulmalik Musa of the APC in May 2024 who was the deputy minority whip.

He said the party was confident it would secure the votes to win the bye-election going by the support of people in the constituency.

“We have seen the light of the day on the faces of the electorate, therefore I am calling on you to come out enmass and cast your votes peacefully,” he said.

Sen. Ahmed Abubakar, former senator who represented Adamawa South in the senate expressed confidence that the APC would win the Saturday bye-election.

According to him, since inception Ganye had been an APC Local Government: “therefore we have assurance to win the race.”

Mr Yusuf Janwe, Chairman APC Caucus in Ganye also expressed confidence that the party will win the bye-election going by the party’s positive impact at the national down to the local government levels.

He said the party has the support of the electorate across the 10 wards in the area and they have appreciated what the APC had been doing at the local government and federal levels.

“We have the support of people and have the confidence of winning the election by 98 per cent”, he said.

Misa Jauro, the party’s candidate for the state assembly assured of APC’s to clinch the seat.

Jauro urged the APC supporters in the area to remain law abiding during and after the exercise.
