Health Officer Commends Smooth ITN Card Distribution in Potiskum
By Ahmed I Abba
The Health Promotion Officer for Potiskum Local Government Area, Malam Musa Adamu, has commended field teams and community leaders for their commitment during the recent Insecticide-Treated Net (ITN) card distribution exercise.
Adamu told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Potiskum that the exercise was successfully concluded without any major challenges.
He attributed the success to the dedication of field teams, as well as the cooperation of residents and traditional rulers across the communities.
According to him, “the distribution was smooth and well-coordinated, thanks to the hard work of our teams and the unwavering support of the community leaders.”
The health officer, however, observed that there was a shortage of ITN cards, noting that some households approached the distribution points after the exercise had ended.
He appealed to relevant stakeholders to address the shortfall to ensure that all households benefit from the next phase of the programme.
Adamu reaffirmed the local government’s commitment to sustaining public health initiatives aimed at preventing malaria and improving community wellbeing.
