College of Education Azare lauds Gov Bala over accreditation of 6 undergraduate programmes

The Provost of Aminu Saleh College of Education, Azare, Professor Asabe Sadiya Mohammed, has applauded Bauchi State Governor, Sen. Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, for approving and releasing funds for the accreditation of the remaining six undergraduate courses run by the institution.
This was disclosed in a statement signed by the Assistant Deputy Registrar, Information and Linkages, Malam Suleiman Shehu, and made available to journalists on Wednesday in Bauchi.
According to the Provost, the governor’s timely intervention enabled the successful conduct of the 6th Round Accreditation Exercise for six degree programmes: B.Sc. Ed. Agriculture, B.Sc. Ed. Chemistry, B.Sc. Ed. Health Education, B.Sc. Ed. Mathematics, B.Sc. Ed. Physical Education, and B.Sc. Ed. Physics.
The exercise was carried out by the National Universities Commission (NUC) from Monday, December 1 to Wednesday, December 3, 2025.
Prof. Asabe Sadiya expressed deep gratitude to Governor Mohammed for his consistent support to the College, recalling that his administration had also funded previous accreditation exercises for both NCE and undergraduate programmes.
“It is with immense gratitude that I, on behalf of the Aminu Saleh College of Education, Azare, commend His Excellency’s unwavering commitment to the advancement of education in our state.
“Your government’s generous funding for accreditation is a monumental step toward enhancing the quality of teacher training and overall academic excellence in our institution,”she stated.
She noted that the support has boosted staff and student morale, enhanced programme quality, and strengthened the institution’s mission to produce competent educators who will shape future generations.
“We deeply appreciate your leadership and dedication to uplifting our institutions.
“The College remains committed to leveraging this support to achieve greater heights in academic delivery and community impact.” she added.
Also speaking, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Maiduguri, represented by the Director of Affiliated Colleges, Professor Munkaila Mohammed, commended the College for providing all required facilities for the accreditation exercise.
He described Aminu Saleh College as one of the top-performing affiliated institutions in terms of readiness, compliance with national standards, and quality assurance.
In her remarks, the accreditation team leader, Professor Miriam Suleiman, lauded the College’s warm reception and preparedness.
She assured that the team would carry out its assignment with diligence to ensure proper adherence to standards essential for the growth of Nigeria’s education sector.
