ADSUBEB held bid opening for 2022-2024 matching grand projects

Adamawa State Universal Basic Education Board (ADSUBEB) on Wednesday held bid opening for 2022, 2023 and 2024 matching grand projects for education development in the state.

Speaking at the ceremony in Yola, Executive Chairman of the Board, Dr. Murtala Babayi, said, 185 contractors has qualified for the bid opening.

“This is the second stage after pre-qualification, the next thing the procurement unit is going to consider which of the biders qualify for the award of the contract “, he said.

In her remarks, Mrs Rahila Gyndi, Director Procurement, ADSUBEB explained that financial bid opening is the procurement process where by the bid submitted by qualified contractors will be open at the present of biders and other stakeholders.

She said, the bid will be a certain and at the end the technical evaluation committee will evaluate the bid and come up with the lowest responsible binders for the award of the contract.

Mr Suleiman Ibrahim, representative of the ICPC called on those who qualified for the contract to be law abiding and do their best to ensure completion of the contract within the time frame to avoid any sanctions.

Malam Yahuza Mohammed who spoke on behalf of the contractors appreciated the board for the due process and assured that if given the opportunity they would deliver quality work within the time frame.
