A group of political supporters in Bauchi State has launched a citizens-driven movement known as Kaura Force, aimed at mobilising grassroots participation in politics and reaffirming support for Gov. Bala Mohammed.

The group made the declaration during a press conference in Bauchi where members highlighted the objectives of the movement and pledged continued backing for the governor’s leadership.

Speaking at the event, Alhaji Mohammed Maiwada, the State Commissioner for Natural Resources, said the movement was established to promote civic engagement and encourage citizens to participate actively in democratic processes.

Maiwada described Mohammed as a visionary leader whose administration had focused on development, inclusive governance and empowerment of the people of Bauchi State.

According to him, the governor’s leadership style prioritises competence and fairness, providing opportunities for individuals from different backgrounds to contribute to the development of the state.

He noted that the administration had recorded progress in critical sectors including infrastructure development, education, healthcare and youth empowerment.

Maiwada also commended the governor’s efforts at promoting religious tolerance and peaceful coexistence among diverse communities in the state.

He said Bauchi had continued to enjoy relative peace and political stability due to the governor’s commitment to unity and dialogue.

Also speaking, Mr Seth Francis, a representative of the movement, reaffirmed the group’s loyalty to Mohammed, describing him as a leader who values merit and gives people the opportunity to serve regardless of ethnic or religious affiliation.

Francis said members of the Kaura Force movement felt obliged to support the governor in appreciation of what they described as his inclusive style of governance.

He added that the group would continue to mobilise support for the governor and defend the achievements of his administration.

According to him, the movement would also contribute to political mobilisation should Mohammed decide to contest any future political position.

The group further stated that it would align with any political decision taken by the governor, emphasising that its members remained committed to promoting unity, stability and development in the State.
