Distribution of mosquito nets commences Sept 8 in Yobe – Deputy Gov
The Yobe Deputy Governor, Alhaji Idi Gubana said distribution of Insecticidal Treated Nets (ITNs) would commended on Sept 8, 2022 in the state.
He said Yobe government and Roll Back Malaria Partners have provided Insecticide Treated mosquito nets free of charge to all households to protect families from malaria.
Gubana, who is also the ITN campaign Ambassador in the state made this in a statement on Tuesday in Damaturu.
“Now we can protect ourselves from malaria by hanging and sleeping inside the Insecticide Treated Mosquito Nets every night.
“Households would be registered and given nets. I, therefore, urge you, to make yourself available during the registration and distribution of the nets.
“Provide the correct information and collect the free net between Thursday Sept 8 to Monday Sept 19 2022.
He also enjoined the general public to ensure that they air the net under a shade for 24 hours before using the net.
“When everybody sleeps inside the mosquito nets, everybody is protected from mosquitos that spread malaria.
“As you protect yourself from malaria also, take responsibility and continue to protect yourself and your family from Coronavirus infection.
“Wash your hands frequently and wear your facemask when going out.”, he added.
