PDP flags off governorship campaign in Yobe

Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) flagged-off its governorship campaign on Friday in Nguru, Yobe, ahead of 2023 general elections.

Speaking at the occasion, Alhaji Adamu Waziri, member of the party’s Board of Trustees expressed optimism that the party would emerge victorious at all levels in 2023 general elections.

“With your support as Nigerians, the Presidential candidate of the PDP, Atiku Abubakar and all other contestants will win the 2023 general elections”. He said.

The former Minister of Police Affairs, called on the electorates to have faith on the party and come out emass and cast their votes.

He warm electorates and contestants that 2023 in elections there would be no room for rigging or manipulation.

“Vote for credible and trust worthy candidates that would salvage Nigeria from hunger and economic crisis.”, he added.

Also speaking Alhaji Sherif Abdullahi, the gubernatorial candidate of the party promised a better leadership if elected.

He also promised to improve the salary welfare of the state’s civil servants.

It could be recalled that PDP inaugurated its State Campaign Council (SCC) on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 in Damaturu.
