Fed Poly Damaturu matriculates 1,089 students

The Federal Polytechnic Damaturu has matriculated 1,089 students for 2022/2023 academic session.

Dr Ibrahim Gashua, the Acting Rector of the institution disclosed this at the matriculation session on Monday in Damaturu.

Gashua, represented by Mr Shettima Ali, the Deputy Rector Academics, said the students include Higher National Diploma and National Diploma across various courses.

The Rector enjoined the students to ensure they live a moral and upright life throughout their stay in the polytechnic.

He also urged them to be good ambassadors of the institution within and outside the campus.

“The institution is not just an environment for academic learning, but a place for character building,” he said.

Gashua therefore, urged them to be focused on their Studies with the view of acquiring a sound education for a successful future.

The Rector noted that the ongoing construction of school of Science and Technology, Environmental studies complexes and landscaping of the school premises were at various stages of completion.

He also added that construction of School of Management studies and FM Radio station had commenced and would soon be completed.

In his remarks, Mr Muazu Iliyasu, the Registrar of the school thanked all those who made the occasion possible.

He also called on the students to be of good behavior and obey the rules and regulations of the institution.
