The Yobe State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) has constituted a two-man committee to oversee the distribution of grains allocated to primary school teachers in the state.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the Executive Chairman of SUBEB, Alhaji Umaru Babayo, announced this in Damaturu on Friday.

He named Malam Tijjani Musa, Deputy Secretary Administration, and Malam Abdu Haladu, Director Academic and School Services, as members of the committee.

Babayo stressed that the process must be guided by fairness and transparency, while cautioning education secretaries across the state against any act of diversion or malpractice.

He warned that any form of unfair allocation or denial of teachers’ entitlements would not be tolerated and would attract strict disciplinary measures.

The chairman expressed gratitude to Gov. Mai Mala Buni for including primary school teachers in the relief programme, describing the gesture as a demonstration of his commitment to the welfare of citizens.

Babayo commended the governor’s unwavering dedication to serving humanity and assured that SUBEB would ensure that the grains reaches all intended beneficiaries.

NAN recalls that the Buni administration recently distributed 50,000 bags of assorted grains to vulnerable residents across the 17 local government areas of the state as part of a broader food security and relief intervention.
