APC Adamawa council of elders pledge to re-elect President Tinubu

The Adamawa Progressives Elders Council under the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC) has pledged to ensure the re-election of President Bola Tinubu for the second tenure.

Alhaji Ahmad Sajo, Spokesperson of the council, disclosed this during a news conference in Yola on Sunday.

He said that these were among 12 other resolutions of the council commending Tinubu’s administration, thereby his deserving to be re-elected in 2027.

According to him, the council’s will be to support the leadership and organs of the party to achieve unity and victory in all elections.

“We resolve to ensure that His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu receives the highest lawful votes to be cast at the 2027 presidential election.

“To ensure that the APC in Adamawa presents credible candidates for the Governorship, National and State Assembly elections in 2027 and that such candidates emerge victorious in the general elections.

“We also resolved to ensure that all Congresses for either the election of party leadership or nomination of candidates are conducted in a rancour free atmosphere and that justice and fairness prevail at all times in the conduct of such congresses”.

Sajo further said that the council was saddled with the responsibility to ensure that all disputes arising from internal party elections or nomination processes were resolved.

“Also, that disagreements resulting from such processes do not fester and jeopardise the chances of the APC in any general elections involving contests with other political parties,” he said.
