Bauchi partners China’s shandong group to Boost Mining, Jobs, Economic Growth

The Bauchi State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening economic development through strategic partnerships with international investors.
This pledge was made by Governor Bala Abdulkadir Muhammad, represented by his Deputy, Muhammad Auwal Jatau, during the groundbreaking ceremony of BMCC Nigeria Limited a joint-venture mining company between the state and China’s Shandong Minsheng Group.
The event was held in Baraza Village of Dass Local Government Area.
Gov. Muhammad described the BMCC project as a transformative initiative that will generate employment, enhance the state’s ranking in the mining sector, and attract long-term investments.
He assured both local and foreign investors that Bauchi remains a secure and conducive environment for business.
Chairman of Shandong Minsheng Group, Mr. Yu Tao, commended the Bauchi State Government for its support, expressing optimism that the partnership would deepen economic cooperation between Nigeria and China.
He said the project would open doors to more investment inflows, expand job opportunities, and accelerate economic advancement across the state.
In a detailed presentation, the Commissioner for Natural Resources Development, Muhammad Maiwada Bello, highlighted the strategic significance of the venture.
He described BMCC as a milestone in harnessing Bauchi’s abundant mineral resources one that would boost economic output, promote technological growth, and elevate the state’s global standing in the mining industry.
Bello emphasized transparency, community engagement, and environmental protection as key pillars of the project, assuring that BMCC would operate in line with international best practices while delivering direct benefits to host communities.
The Chairman of Dass Local Government, Muhammad Jibo, and the Emir of Dass, Alhaji Usman Bilyamu Othman, pledged full support for the project, applauding the state government’s efforts in championing initiatives that promote peace, development, and economic prosperity.
Other dignitaries, including lawmakers, traditional leaders, and industry stakeholders, commended the initiative and reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring the success of BMCC Nigeria Limited.
