The Bauchi State Police Command has reaffirmed its resolve to flush out criminal elements from Alkaleri Local Government Area, declaring that there will be no safe haven for bandits and kidnappers operating in the area.

This assurance was given during a press conference held at the State Police Headquarters, Yandoka Road, Bauchi, where the Command addressed growing public concerns over recent security incidents in parts of Alkaleri LGA, particularly Gwana, Digare and Kafin Duguri communities.

Speaking on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, CP Sani Omolori Aliyu, mni, psc(+), the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Nafiu Habib, said massive deployment of joint security personnel has been carried out to affected communities.

The operation, which involves the Police, Military, DSS, NSCDC and other sister agencies, is aimed at decisively suppressing kidnapping and banditry.

He stated that although some border communities have faced persistent security challenges due to infiltration by criminal elements from neighbouring states,

The Command has strengthened patrols, reinforced operational strategies and deployed enhanced security assets to restore stability.

The Police specifically reassured residents of Mansur town that their community remains safe and that the security situation is steadily improving.

Authorities emphasised that recent incidents in neighbouring areas do not pose a direct threat to Mansur and urged displaced residents to remain calm.

The Command also called on citizens to support ongoing operations by providing timely and credible intelligence, assuring them that their identities would be protected.

Reiterating its commitment, the Police declared that criminal elements will find no refuge in Alkaleri, urging residents to confidently go about their lawful activities as security agencies continue working to sustain peace across the area.
