Yobe Govt. begins measles vaccination campaign on Saturday

Damaturu, Nov. 30, 2023 (NAN) The Yobe Ministry of Health and the state’s Primary Health Care Board,
in collaboration with the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA) have concluded
arrangement to begin a seven-day follow-up measles mass vaccination.
This is contained in a statement signed by Mr Ali Yawale, the Head of Information Department of the ministry
on Thursday in Damaturu.
Yawale said the exercise would commence on Saturday, Dec. 2 to Dec. 9 across the 17 local government areas of the state.
He added that the campaign would focus on children between the ages of nine and 59 months.
He stated that the exercise would be carried out at designated vaccination sites within communities across the state.
Yawale encouraged parents, guardians, caregivers and the public to cooperate and support officials throughout the
