Troops Foil Theft, Return Vehicle to Owner in Yobe

Troops of Sector 2, Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), have intercepted a stolen Mazda commercial bus at a checkpoint along the Damaturu-Maiduguri road Oct 24, 2024.
Brig.-Gen. Marcel Ejike made this known while handingover over the recovered vehicle to its rightful owner, Mr. Muraina Mukala accompanied the Chairman of the Central Motor Park, Offa, Kwara State, Mr. Afolabi Oye.
Ejike, represented Brig.-Gen. Ahmed Getso, the Chief of Staff Sector 2 OPHK said the stolen vehicle with registration number Lagos FST 588 XU, was being transported from Kwara State heading to Maiduguri.
Mr. Mukala expressed his deep gratitude to the military for their swift action in recovering his stolen vehicle.
He commended the troops for their dedication and professionalism in ensuring the safety of citizens.
Independent News Reporters (INR) reports the suspect is currently undergoing preliminary investigation and will be handed over to the Nigerian Police for further legal action.
