Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has expressed his willingness to collaborate with Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate in the 2023 general elections.
This commitment was made during a consultation visit by Obi to the state’s Presidential Lodge, where they held a closed-door meeting for over three hours.
Mohammed emphasized that their partnership aims to provide good governance to Nigerians, addressing poverty and criminality across the country.
He acknowledged Obi’s role as the leader of the opposition, stating that their cooperation would transcend political, religious, and tribal lines.¹
Obi, in his remarks, highlighted the importance of addressing poverty in Nigeria, stressing that it is essential to invest in critical areas to reduce poverty and subsequently decrease criminality in society.
He said the meeting is a continuous process for leaders demonstrating a commitment to putting aside partisan differences and working towards the betterment of Nigeria.
