NGO Seeks Aid for Child Bomb Blast Victims in Yobe
Yobe-based Help the Amputee Foundation, an NGO, has appealed for support for three children injured in a bomb blast.
The President and Founder of the NGO, Mr Tizhe Kwaji, made the appeal at a food outreach in Damaturu on Monday.
The ages of the blast survivours ranging from 8, 10 and 1, respectfully, are a painful reminder of the devastating impact of such events on young lives.
Kwaji expressed concern over the impact of the incident on their lives, emphasising their need for education and rehabilitation.
He said, “Education is not just a privilege; it is their key to a brighter future. But we cannot do it alone. We need your support,” Kwaji said.
He further highlighted the foundation’s commitment to empowering persons with disabilities through skills initiative projects, providing food, cash support, and care.
Kwaji appealed to Gov. Mai Mala Buni of Yobe, and Abba Mohammed, Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on People Living with Disability (PLWD) to support the foundation’s efforts in Yobe and beyond.
He also urged the public to contribute to the cause, emphasising the importance of philanthropy.
Hafsat Muhammad, a beneficiary of the foundation’s support, expressed gratitude to the Foundation and encouraged others to follow their example.
