
Tinubu Commends Dogara’s Commitment to Education as YADILDS Takes Off

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has praised former Speaker House of Representative Hon Yakubu Dogara’s dedication to advancing education in Nigeria.
Speaking at the foundation laying ceremony for the Yakubu Dogara Centre for Legal and Legislative Studies (YADILDS) at Achievers University, Owo, Ondo state on Friday.
Tinubu commended Dogara’s patriotic efforts towards achieving quality education.
Represented by Minister of State for Education Dr. Suwaiba Ahmed, President Tinubu expressed hope that YADILDS would become a Centre of Excellence in legal and democratic studies.
He called on organizations and philanthropists to support the project, which will positively impact not only students but also the entire Nigerian society.
Hon Dogara emphasized the correlation between education and development, noting that millions of out-of-school children in Nigeria cannot afford education.
He commended President Tinubu’s educational interventions, including the Student Education Loan.
Dogara announced an initial donation of N50 million for the commencement of the YADILDS construction. The institute aims to expand the boundaries of education, understanding the dynamics of society, and promoting democracy.
