The Wunti Al-Khair Foundation has reaffirmed its commitment to humanitarian and developmental work while distancing itself from individuals attempting to use its name for political or personal gains.
Speaking at a news conference in Bauchi, on Wednesday ,the Foundation’s Director of Programs, Mustapha Ango, urged the public and media to verify information through official channels to protect the organization’s integrity.
“We are committed to building stronger, healthier, and more prosperous communities, not politics,” Ango said.
Highlighting recent initiatives, Ango said the Foundation has rolled out impactful programs across technology, agriculture, entrepreneurship, and social welfare.
In the area of youth empowerment, the Bala Wunti Technology Fellowship recently took fellows on an industrial visit to Lagos during GITEX Nigeria 2025, where they engaged with global tech leaders and explored emerging trends.
A highlight of the trip was a tour of the Huawei Innovation Center, which opened doors for internship and partnership opportunities.
On agricultural development, the Fertiliser for Farmers Initiative under the Bauchi Agricultural Advancement Program (BAAP) provided fertiliser to 6,000 smallholder farmers to boost yields, reduce production costs, and improve food security.
The Foundation also advanced entrepreneurship through the Bauchi Business Clinic, where over 1,000 entrepreneurs received training and mentorship. Additionally, 100 businesses were given free CAC registration to help them access loans, grants, and market opportunities.
In its humanitarian outreach, the Foundation distributed food essentials to families across Bauchi during Eid ul-Maulud, easing the burden of rising costs and promoting community solidarity.
Ango emphasized that these initiatives reflect the Foundation’s vision of uplifting the most vulnerable while creating opportunities for sustainable growth.
“Every bag of fertiliser, every trained entrepreneur, every empowered youth is an investment in Bauchi’s future,” he said.
The Wunti Al-Khair Foundation called on stakeholders and the media to continue supporting its mission to build a stronger and more prosperous Bauchi State.
