Kannywood Actor Popularly Known as Malam Nata’ala, Dies After Illness

Popular Kannywood actor, Mato Yakubu, popularly known as Malam Nata’ala, has died after a prolonged illness.
He passed away on Sunday at the Muhammadu Buhari University Teaching Hospital, Borno State.
The death of the veteran actor was announced through the verified “Beautiful Fight” handle of renowned Hausa actor, Ali Nuhu.
During his illness, Nata’ala was seen in an online video appealing for financial support to enable him to access medical care.
He later expressed appreciation to the President of Niger Republic for extending medical assistance.
The Yobe State Government later also claimed the have assisted the deceased medically, which was reported to have contributed to his treatment.
In his post, Ali Nuhu prayed for Allah’s mercy on the late Nata’ala and for his family and colleagues to find strength in the loss.
Until his death, Nata’ala was widely known for his comic roles and versatility in the Hausa series film movie ‘Dadin kowa’.
