SCI donates education instructional materials to Adamawa govt.

Save the Children International (SCI), an NGO, has donated instructional materials to the Adamawa State Universal Basic Education Board (ADSUBEB) for basic primary schools in four councils in the state.
Speaking at the presentation of the materials, Mr Abdulrasheed Muhammad, SCI’s team lead in Adamawa, commended ADSUBEB for its commitment to educational development in the state.
Muhammad who was represented by Mr Hela Dauda, SCI Education Officer, said that the materials were provided with the support from Global Partnership for Education (GPE).
“These is part of the exit strategy after two years project for sustainability and to complement government efforts in making teaching easy.
“We are here today officially to handover these materials to the board for onward distribution to the targeted schools in Michika, Madagali, Mubi-North and Mubi-South LGAs.
“The material includes 1,119 packets of white board markers, 51 white boards, 280 dusters, 103 packs of pens, 103 teachers ruler, 103 packs of teachers note book and 466 school registers”, he said.
In his remarks, Dr Murtala Babayi, Chairman, ADSUBEB, appreciated SCI for its contribution to the development of basic education in the state and expressed readiness for continued partnership.
He assured that the material would be distributed to the targeted schools across the four LGAs .
“Thank you and by the grace of God the rewards will go across your families.
“I want to assure you that we are going to judiciously utilize it well and as you design the distribution chart we are going to abide by that accordingly,” he said.
