A coalition of 75 support groups within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bauchi State
have strongly rejected alleged attempts to alter the outcome of the party’s recently concluded state congress, reaffirming their support for the re-election of Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027.

The position was made known during a press conference read by Barrister Jibrin Jibrin, Chairman Advisory Board of the Coalition
held on Monday at the Double Four Event Centre in Bauchi by a coalition of APC leaders and support groups loyal to the President.

Addressing journalists, the coalition said the congress, conducted between March 3 and 4, 2026, followed due process in line with the APC constitution and the Electoral Act, with monitoring by relevant authorities including the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), security agencies, and the media.

They noted that the exercise produced a new set of duly elected executives, including Alhaji Muhammad Hassan Tilde as State Chairman, Alhaji Mustapha Zirami as State Secretary, and Alhaji Yakubu Muhammed as Organizing Secretary.

However, the stakeholders expressed concern over what they described as “deliberate and self-serving efforts” by some party actors to manipulate the outcome by replacing elected officials with candidates who were defeated during the congress.

According to the group, such actions threaten party unity and risk undermining the growing support base of the APC in Bauchi State ahead of the 2027 general elections.

“We categorically reject any move to tamper with the outcome of the congress. The will of the majority of party members must be respected to sustain the confidence and renewed hope within the party,” the coalition stated.

The stakeholders warned that repeating past mistakes that led to internal crises in previous election cycles could jeopardize the party’s chances in the state.

They recalled that similar disputes contributed to setbacks in the 2019 and 2023 elections, stressing that unity and adherence to democratic principles remain critical to electoral success.

Reaffirming their loyalty to President Tinubu, the coalition emphasized that Bauchi APC members are committed to mobilizing support for his re-election, but insisted that such efforts must be anchored on fairness, justice, and respect for internal party democracy.

They further called on the national leadership of the APC to urgently intervene and ensure that the outcome of the congress is upheld and the elected executives inaugurated without delay.

The coalition concluded by urging all aggrieved members to sheath their swords and work collectively in the interest of the party, noting that only a united APC can secure victory in Bauchi State and contribute meaningfully to Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid.
