Tourism Day: Adamawa to commission world-class amusement park soon- Commissioner

Adamawa State government is preparing to commission a world-class amusement park soon says Hon Aloysius Babadoke, Commissioner Ministry for Culture and Tourism.

Babadoke disclosed this at the commemoration of 2026 World Tourism Day in Yola that comes in a grand style.

He said that the project of the park had reached an advanced stage of completion.

He disclosed that Adamawa has about 38 cultural heritage sites and the state government has planned to develop five of them.

The Commissioner listed the sites to include Sukun Cultural Landscape in Madagali; Yadim Water Fall in Fufore, Three Sisters Rock in Song; Elephant House in Guyuk, and Kiri Dam in Shelleng.

He said the government has done much in developing its culture and tourism sector and that Adamawa would be a much greater state in that respect within the next few years.

He further said that the tourism day ceremony enables them to also celebrate their unity in diversity as the unity of the people from diverse backgrounds is worth celebrating.

According to him, the event is a tribute to oneness and peace that drowned participants dressed in their peculiar cultural attires.
