Yobe Gov assents child protection, 2 other bills into law
Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe has assented Child Protection and two other bills into law.
This information is contained in a statement form the office of Secretary to the State Government on Saturday in Damaturu.
“His Excellency the Executive Governor of Yobe State Hon. Mai Mala Buni has assented to the following Bills for the speady administration of justice, address the problem of violence against persons and the protection of children. The assented laws are:.
“1. A bill for a law to establish the Yobe State Justice Reform Team to coordinate the various Justice Institutions and other matters thereto.
“2. A bill for a law to prohibit all forms of violence against persons in private and public life and to provide maximum protection and effective Remedies for victims and punishment of offenders and other related matters.
“3. A bill for a law to provide for the protection of children in Yobe State and other related matters thereto.”, statement said.
