Yobe Gov declares Feb 7 work free day in honour of late Gov Bukar

Damaturu, Feb 6, 2024 (NAN) Gov Mai Mala Buni of Yobe has declared Wednesday, Feb 7, a work free day to mark a three-day prayers for late former Governor of the state, Sen Bukar Abba Ibrahim.
Alhaji Mamman Mohammed,the Director General, Press and Media Affairs to the governor said this while addressing newsmen on Tuesday in Damaturu.
He said the day was set aside to offer prayers for the former governor who died in Saudi Arabia on Sunday.
The three days prayers, according to him, would be offered at the Government House Mosque, Damaturu.
Mohammed said Yobe government had officially took over the funeral rites to honour the late governor.
He also explained that Gov Buni, in the company of government officials and the family of the late governor, has been receiving condolences from sympathisers from within and outside the state at the Government House, Damaturu. (NAN) (www.nannews.ng)
