President Tinubu “Caged” from Reality, Says Senate Chief Whip
Ali Ndume, Senate Chief Whip, has expressed concern that President Bola Tinubu is unaware of the severity of hunger and anger among Nigerians.
Speaking to journalists at the National Assembly complex in Abuja, Ndume stated that the President is being shielded from the truth by his advisors and is only fed lies.
Ndume’s comments come after the Senate passed a resolution urging the federal government to address food insecurity and market exploitation.
He co-sponsored a motion highlighting the need to address food insecurity and the exploitation of consumables in Nigeria.
The senator warned that the country is facing a severe food crisis, exacerbated by security challenges and the unavailability of food reserves.
He urged President Tinubu to “wake up” and engage with Nigerians who can provide him with accurate information.
Ndume expressed disappointment that stakeholders have not been truthful in addressing the menace of herders, which has compounded the issues around food scarcity.
He emphasized that the President must open his doors to those who will tell him the truth, rather than relying on his advisors who are shielding him from reality.
