Yobe Ministry of Health Gears Up for 2025 Health Sector Transformation
The Yobe State Primary Healthcare Board organised a five-day workshop to harmonise the Annual Operational Plan (AOP) to elevate the state’s health sector to a higher level in 2025.
The Executive Secretary of the board, Dr. Babagana Kundi Machina made this known at the ongoing workshop on Tuesday in Kano.
Machina stressed the significance of harmonizing the AOP, aligning it with the key priorities outlined by the health sector.
He explained that the workshop builds upon previous efforts where state agencies were encouraged to conduct self-assessments.
“By aligning with the federal government’s strategic blueprint, Yobe State has identified its unique health challenges and developed targeted initiatives for the coming year,” he said.
The Executive Secretary urged participants to actively engage in the workshop, contributing their valuable insights to ensure maximum benefits for the state.
Dr. Muhammed Lawan Gana, the Yobe State Commissioner for Health, expressed his confidence in the workshop’s ability to yield positive results.
Represented by Mr. Isa Bukar, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health, Gana highlighted the importance of the AOP in preventing duplication of efforts among agencies and partners during project implementation.
