“Today, we are here to hand over training kits and starter packs to the 558 beneficiaries of the NEDC training on briquette and charcoal production as well as solar power insulation that was conducted few weeks back.
“The current exercise is for the trainees that attended the training in Bauchi, Damaturu and Maiduguri,” Abbas said.
He commended Governor Mai Mala Buni’s administration for providing a conducive environment for the commission to discharge its mandate in the state.
Abbas also reiterated the commission’s commitment to continue supporting the state in achieving its mandate on climate change mitigation.
In his remarks, Alhaji Tonga Bularafa, the Permanent Secretary Yobe Ministry of Environment, commended NEDC for its various interventions.
He described the gesture as timely and in line with the state government’s efforts to mitigate the challenges posed by climate change.
