Yobe Pledges Zero Tolerance for Corruption in Army Recruitment
By Baba Dan’Iya
The Yobe State Government has vowed to ensure only the most qualified candidates are selected for the ongoing Nigerian Army Recruitment Exercise.
This commitment was reaffirmed by Brig. Gen. Dahiru Abdul-Salam (Rtd), Special Adviser to the Yobe State Governor on Security Matters, during an inspection of the 88 Regular Recruit screening exercise at the 241 Recce Model Battalion in Nguru on Monday.
General Abdul-Salam warned prospective recruits against any form of bribery, emphasizing the Nigerian Army’s commitment to integrity in its recruitment process. “There are no shortcuts to serving your country,” he declared.
The Director of Recruitment Services in the Governor’s Office, Damaturu Adamu Baba Umar, commended the Recruitment Committee for their diligent efforts in ensuring a fair and transparent selection process.
This stance underscores the Yobe State Government’s dedication to upholding the integrity of the Nigerian Army and ensuring only the most deserving individuals are selected to serve the nation.
