Mustapha pledges action on insecurity in Adamawa communities

Salihu Mustapha, an All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship aspirant in Adamawa has promised priority attention to insecurity challenges in the state if his dream of being governor is actualised.
Mustapha who was the former National Vice Chairman, North-East of the APC, made the pledge when he paid a visit to traditional rulers in Madagali and Michika Local Government Areas of Adamawa.
He said if he becomes the governor of Adamawa, he would continue to build on where Gov. Ahmadu Fintiri stopped across all sectors.
Mustapha said as a lawyer, political analyst and security expert, he has all it takes to contribute towards ensuring peace and security in the state, particularly in the northern zone known for insurgents activities.
He lauded President Bola Tinubu and the National Security Adviser, Malam Nuhu Ribadu for the efforts put in place in addressing security challenges in the state and country at large.
Mustapha urged the people of Adamawa to support the Federal Government under the platform of APC for democratic dividends that would continue to translate to employment opportunities and poverty alleviation among others.
Also speaking, the Speaker of Adamawa House of Assembly, Bathiya Wisely, who accompanied Mustapha, described him as a grassroots politician with credible credentials to be the next governor of Adamawa.
He called on the traditional leaders and their subjects to support Mustapha who is competent to lead the state.
In their separate remarks, the paramount ruler of Michika, Prof. Luka Gadiga, and that of Madagali, Alhaji Ali Danburam, lauded the aspirant for his regards to traditional institutions and assured their people support to government efforts to fight insecurity.
They urged him to also prioritise youths empowerment and jobs creations as another step to reduce the problem of insecurity in the state.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Mustapha during the visits also interacted with party officials at the two local governments levels where he solicited for their support and cooperation towards achieving his ambition.
