Two senators representing Yobe North and Yobe South Senatorial Districts have congratulated Dr Mohammed Goje on his confirmation and swearing-in as the substantive Secretary to the Yobe State Government (SSG).
In separate congratulatory messages issued on Thursday, the senators described Goje’s appointment as a recognition of his competence, integrity and outstanding record of public service.
Former President of the Senate, Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan, who represents Yobe North Senatorial District, said Goje’s elevation from acting to substantive SSG reflected his exceptional administrative acumen, loyalty, patriotism and commitment to duty.
Lawan noted that Goje had consistently demonstrated intellectual capacity and a strong sense of responsibility in the various offices he previously held in the service of the state.
He said Goje’s experience, particularly in the humanitarian and development sectors, had contributed significantly to the state’s rebuilding and recovery efforts following the insurgency.
The senator also commended Gov. Mai Mala Buni for confirming the appointment, saying the decision underscored the governor’s commitment to appointing competent individuals to drive continuity and sustainable development.
Similarly, Ibrahim Mohammed Bomai described Goje’s confirmation as a testament to merit, diligence and an unblemished record of service.
Bomai said Goje had exhibited responsibility, discipline, foresight and exceptional administrative capacity while serving in acting capacity, earning the confidence of government, the civil service, political stakeholders and the people of the state.
He added that Goje’s experience in academia, public service, humanitarian and disaster management, including his previous service as Executive Secretary of the Yobe State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), had equipped him for the demands of the office.
According to Bomai, the office of the SSG is central to the coordination of government activities, expressing confidence that Goje would deploy his experience, integrity and patriotism to strengthen governance and improve service delivery in the state.
The two senators prayed for Allah’s guidance, wisdom, good health and protection for the new SSG as he assumes his responsibilities and pledged their continued support for his success in office.
