Yobe Commissioner for Information and Media, Alhaji Abdullahi Bego, has accepted an appointment as adviser to the MMB/BMW Youth Mobilisation Forum, a group mobilising support for Gov. Mai Mala Buni and other All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Bego stated this when he visited the headquarters of the forum in Damaturu on Thursday and interacted with its leadership.

The Chairman of the Forum, Ahmed Bukar Sheriff, and its Secretary-General, Dr Aliyu Bade, briefed the commissioner on the organisation’s activities and grassroots mobilisation efforts across the state.

They said the forum was committed to taking the message of hope, continuity and consolidation associated with Buni to communities across Yobe.

The leaders also said the forum would partner with like-minded organisations, entities and individuals to promote the political and socio-economic development of the state.

Bego commended the leadership and members of the forum for their commitment and sense of purpose.

He said supporting Buni, Alhaji Baba Mallam Wali and other APC candidates was crucial to sustaining and expanding the development recorded in Yobe.

The commissioner expressed appreciation for the confidence reposed in him by the forum, saying he accepted the advisory appointment with humility.

He urged members of the forum to continue their grassroots engagement and contribute positively to the political development of the state.

The forum is expected to intensify its mobilisation activities across Yobe ahead of the 2027 general elections.
