Former SGF inaugurates library, administrative complex at Lutheran University

Boss Mustapha, the immediate past Secretary to the Government of the Federation on Friday inaugurated library and administrative complex at the proposed Lutheran University Nigeria (LUN), Demas in Adamawa.

The exercise marked the commemoration of Boss Mustapha’s 70th birthday anniversary.

Speaking at the ceremony in Demsa Mustapha said, that the decision of the project is as the result of his concern for education and young people to be fully educated and responsible citizens.

According to him, he has the courage because of the commitment of his far for the development of education when he was a class teacher and a union leader.

Mustapha appreciated everyone who celebrated with him and assured his readiness for continued support for the proposed University.

Most Rev. Musa Filibus, Archbishop of Lutheran Church of Christ in Nigeria (LCCN) appreciated Mustapha for his contribution to the University towards ensuring quality education for the young people.

He said the mandate of the LUN is to be a world-class conventional university that equips the next generation with up-to-date skills, anchored firmly in Christian values.

Filibus congratulated Mustapha and wished him many more years in good health and prosperity.

He called on the other philanthropist to emulate Mustapha towards the development of the University.

in his remarks, Gov. Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State called for unity to accomplish the dream of their forefathers and called on those who have the opportunity to make an impact by contributing to society.

Mutfwang further called on leaders to address the Almajiri system of education for the children to be fully educated and responsible citizens in the future.

According to him, if care is not taking it could be a time bomb in the country.

Gov. Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa also congratulated Mustapha on behalf of the government and people of Adamawa.

According to him, the 70 years is a testimony of God’s grace to impact on society.

He described the birthday as a special “Rather than receiving a gift, he gives gifts by building a facility that is an investment in education and knowledge for young people and their future” .

Fintiri further expressed confidence that the University would produce competent graduates for the service of humanity.
