Yobe Gov assists victims of insurgence attack
Yobe Government has distributed some cash support to the families of victims of a recent insurgent attack in Mafa community, Tarmuwa local government area.
Alhaji Mala Musty, the Adviser to Gov Mai Mala Buni on Higher Education, made this known on Wednesday in Damaturu.
Musty said the governor had given N30 million to the families of the deceased and displaced persons, as other sympathisers had also contributed various amounts of money.
He said the government was grateful to the contributors for their support to the victims.
Malam Aisha Danbade, a mother of six, who lost her husband in the attack, thanked the governor and other sympathisers for the support.
She said her husband died and left her with four children.
Another beneficiary, Malam Mustapha Muhammad, said his father was killed in the attack, leaving behind five children.
He also appreciated the governor Buni’s gesture for the assistance.
It was reported that dozens of people were killed as a result of recent attack by suspected Boko Haram terrorists Mafa, Tarmuwa local government.
