Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have neutralised 15 suspected terrorists in a precision air strike north-west of Pulka in Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State.

The operation, conducted at about 11:50 p.m. on Friday, October 23, followed intelligence reports and confirmed sightings of terrorist movements in the area.

According to a statement issued on Saturday by the Acting Military Information Officer at the Headquarters of the Joint Task Force (North East), Captain Mohammed Goni, the air strike was followed by ground operations to assess the area and consolidate the gains.

The statement said the operation formed part of ongoing military offensives aimed at disrupting terrorist movements and weakening their operational capabilities across the North-East.

It added that intelligence gathering and coordinated military operations remained central to efforts to deny terrorist groups freedom of movement and prevent attacks on communities.

The Theatre Command reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining the offensive against terrorism and insurgency, protecting civilians and supporting the restoration of peace and normal socio-economic activities in affected communities.

The military also urged residents to cooperate with security agencies by providing timely and credible information about suspicious movements and activities.

It stressed that continued collaboration between security forces and the public was essential to sustaining operational gains and achieving lasting peace in the region.
