Gov Buni Assures Residents of Peaceful Christmas, New Year Celebrations
Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, has given his assurance that the state will experience a peaceful and hitch-free Christmas and New Year celebrations.
The governor’s assurance came during a routine security council meeting held in Damaturu, where he was represented by Deputy Governor Idi Barde Gubana.
The meeting aimed to review the state’s security situation and develop new measures to ensure a safe and enjoyable Yuletide season for Christians.
After the meeting, Yobe State Commissioner of Police, Ahmad Garba, briefed the press, stating that security agencies are committed to protecting residents’ lives and property before, during, and after the celebrations.
Garba urged parents and guardians to keep a close eye on their children and discourage them from engaging in criminal activities during the festivities.
He warned that law enforcement agencies will not tolerate any behavior that could disrupt law and order.
The governor’s assurance and the security agencies’ commitment to safeguarding the state are expected to provide a sense of relief and security for residents during the festive season.
