WHO, Other Partners Collaborate on TB/HIV Awareness in Yobe

The World Health Organization (WHO), in partnership with ASA Health Partners, in collaboration primary healthcare boards, conducted a one-day community sensitization program on Tuberculosis (TB) and HIV, integrated with other vaccine-preventable diseases.
The event took place in Danchua Community within Potiskum Local Government Area of Yobe State.
The sensitization program aimed to raise awareness among community members about the risks and symptoms of TB and HIV, while also emphasizing the importance of vaccination against other preventable diseases.
The program underscored the critical role of community engagement in combating infectious diseases.
By educating the public about prevention, early diagnosis, and treatment, the initiative aims to reduce the burden of TB, HIV, and other preventable diseases in the region.
