A coalition of Atiku Support Organisation (ASO) and National Solidarity Movement for Atiku (NSM4Atiku) has canvassed support for the 2023 presidential ambition of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) flag bearer, Atiku Abubakar.

Canvassing support for Atiku on Wednesday in Damaturu, Yobe, Dr Musa Gulani, NSM4Atiku Coordinator, said that Atiku’s ambition was aimed at reforming Nigeria’s economy and boosting infrastructural development.

Gulani said access to infrastructure could increase productivity in various sectors of the economy and improve the quality of life.

“For instance, when there is a constant power supply and good road network, the productivity of individuals and firms will increase, and consequently the GDP and quality of life will also improve.”, he said.

He added that Atiku’s private sector experience and orientation was paramount to the growth of Nigeria’s economy.

“Nigeria as a giant of Africa needs an effective and efficient Public-Private Partnership (PPP) to close the infrastructure gap without stress of borrowing.”, Gulani said.

He also explained that PPP reduced corruption and embezzlement, and improved the economic well-being of a nation and standard of living of citizens, among others.

Also speaking, ASO Yobe Coordinator, Mr Lawan Munkaila,, said the coalition acknowledged that Atiku’s antecedents and experience were outstanding, which informed their decision to support him.
