Peter Obi says new Nigeria is possible
The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr Peter Obi says a new, better Nigeria is possible.
Obi expressed optimism at his presidential campaign on Friday in Damaturu.
“ Our hope is that a new Nigeria is possible. We want to build a new Nigeria.
“ A Nigeria where every Nigerian will be proud to stay to say I am a Nigerian, not from east from west or from north but a Nigerian,” he said.
He also promised to address insecurity, poverty, unemployment, out of school children among other issues bedevilling the country, if elected.
He added that he made to take his campaign to all the nooks and crannies of the country to meet and listen to people’s problems.
“We want to make sure that in our campaign efforts we did not leave any state or anywhere behind.
“That is why we here in Damaturu, the Yobe state capital to ensure people have acknowledged our commitment.,” he said.
Obi enjoined the people of Yobe to do come out em mass and vote for him in order to fight poverty, invest on agriculture and explore other potentials of the state.
“There so many things that are being produced in Yobe that the world is looking for.
“We will invest in them and ensure people of Yobe earn living from them,” he promised.
He said north had vast and fertile land that could earn Nigeria more income than oil if utilised effectively.
Obi therefore vowed to transform Nigeria from consumption to production state.
