Buni approves new motor parks in Yobe
Gov. Buni puts smiles on the face of commuters, grain traders in Yobe.

Yobe state governor, Honourable Mai Mama Buni, has approved the allocation of 1 hectare of space to grain traders association within a proposed new motor pack to be established along Potiskum road in Damaturu, the state capital.
According to a press statement from Usman Ibrahim Geidam S.A Media to the Director General Yobe State Geographic Information service, Dr. Abdullahi Hassan Gana, the governor gave the directive when the traders’ executive council paid him a courtesy visit at the government house Damaturu.
Consequently, according to the press statement, the governor has directed representative of the association to meet with the Director General Yobe State Geographic Information Service on the matter.
The visit of the executive of the association was consequent to earlier announced approval by the governor to establish four new motor parks in Damaturu, the state capital, adding that the governor has equally approved compensation for the lands owners.
These motor parks will be sited in the four exits of the capital city along Maiduguri, Potiskum, Gashua and Gujba roads accordingly to allow commuters and travelers to have access to their various destinations and reduce congestion in the parks.
The establishment of the motor parks, the statement assures, will create more opportunities to small traders, taxi drivers and tricycle riders.
