Gov Buni swears-in auditor-general, others

Yobe state governor, Mai Mala Buni has today, the 24th of May, 2023, swore-in newly appointed permanent secretaries, members of the local government service and pilgrims commission, the state auditor-general and a member, each of the state independent electoral commission, civil service commission, and the teaching service board.
The state governor, after the swearing in ceremony called on the two Permanent Secretaries Ibrahim Adamu Jajere of the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development, and Mohammed Inuwa Gulani of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism to discharge their duties with an extra commitment to support the administration to serve the people of state diligently and successfully.
To the chairman and Permanent Commissioners of the Local Government Service Commission, Alhaji Sule Ado, Alhaji Waziri Yerima, Mallam Kyari Batarama, Alhaji Jibrin Babale, Alhaji Muhammed Kondoma and Hajiya Aisha Haruna Godowoli respectively, informed them of great roles they have to play to institute discipline and improve efficiency in local government administration to raise the standard of service delivery at the grassroots.
These officers he said, were carefully selected and appointed based on merit, their wealth of experience, integrity, diligence, and loyalty and therefore expressed confidence that they have a lot to offer to the reform programme of the state in other to improve service delivery.
Among those who were sworn in is Mai Aliyu Umar Gulani, a thorough-bred professional as the Auditor-General of the State,
The governor equally expressed confidence that the appointment of Alhaji Abbani Gambo as a member of the State Independent Electoral Commission; Alhaji Wakil Maina Machina Permanent Member of the Civil Service Commission; and Alhaji Ballama Budu Permanent Member Teaching Service Board, would be advantageous to the respective departments.
The governor urged the appointed officers to be in tune with the policies and programmes of his administration, and to be on the same page with its policy of prudent management of resources and also to imbibe the spirit of teamwork for a collective realization of government set goals.
