Yobe Set to Receive President Tinubu on Saturday for Agric Empowerment Program Launch
The Yobe Government has announced that it is fully prepared to welcome President Bola Tinubu on Saturday, as he visits the state to inaugurate a multi-billion Naira agricultural empowerment program.
Alhaji Abdullahi Bego, the Commissioner of Home Affairs, Information, and Culture made this known while addressing newsmen on Friday in Damaturu.
He said the president’s one-day working visit is a significant event for the state, and all necessary arrangements have been made to ensure a successful trip.
“The president’s visit is a testament to the strong partnership between the federal government and Yobe State,”
“We are honored to host him and showcase the state government’s commitment and the progress we have made in agricultural development,” he said.
The Commissioner explained that the agricultural empowerment program, initiated by Governor Mai Mala Buni, is a flagship project aimed at improving agricultural activities and enhancing food security in the state.
He added that the program will benefit thousands of farmers across 17 local government areas and 178 electoral wards.
Commissioner Bego encouraged the public to come out en masse to welcome President Tinubu.
“This is a historic moment for Yobe State, and we want to make it a memorable one. We invite everyone to join us in welcoming the president and showcasing our hospitality.”
