In a historic moment of diplomacy and advocacy, the Commissioner for Commerce, Industry, and Investment, Bauchi State, Muhammad Salis Gamawa, delivered a compelling call to action at the United Nations Simulation Conference in Paris.
Representing Africa on the world stage, Gamawa made a powerful case for developed nations to increase investments in Africa’s renewable energy sector and honor their commitments under the Paris Agreement.
Gamawa’s speech resonated profoundly among global leaders and energy stakeholders, as he underscored the urgent need for technology transfers, financial support, and capacity-building initiatives to bridge Africa’s energy gap.
His outstanding leadership, diplomatic excellence, and commitment to Africa’s sustainable future earned him the Rare Award for Exceptional Leadership.
Upon receiving the award, Gamawa dedicated this milestone achievement to His Excellency, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed CON, the Executive Governor of Bauchi State.
He emphasised that the award is not just a personal achievement but a victory for Bauchi State, Nigeria, and Africa as a whole, reinforcing the continent’s rightful place in global energy discussions.¹
