
Emir of Ningi calls for strong mechanism to monitor AGILE project in Bauchi

The Emir of Ningi in Bauchi State, has emphasized the need for a robust monitoring system to ensure the effective implementation of the Adolescence Girls Initiative and Empowerment (AGILE) Project in the state.
Danyaya made the request during an advocacy visit by the AGILE project team, led by Project Coordinator Ali Gar.on Tuesday in Ningi Local government area.
According to him, this call is aimed at promoting transparency and accountability in the project’s execution.
He also warned against politicising the AGILE project, emphasising that education is paramount and should not be undermined by selfishness and greediness.
The Emir of Ningi said this to ensure that the AGILE Project achieves its objectives and makes a positive impact on the education and empowerment of adolescent girls in the State.
Earlier, Hajiya Halima Dimis, Communication Officer the Project, said the AGILE project aims to improve secondary education opportunities for adolescent girls aged 10-20,
“Addressing challenges such as socio-cultural and financial constraints, and infrastructural deficits,” she said
Also speaking, The Project Coordinator, Mr Gar, explained the key components of the AGILE Project.
“They include creating Safe and accessible learning Spaces such as constructing new classrooms, rehabilitating dilapidated facilities, and providing teaching and learning materials.
“Empowering girls provides critical life skills knowledge, digital literacy skills, and financial incentives to support girls’ education.
“Project management and system strengthening, strengthening institutional capacity to support girls’ education and empowerment,,” he said.
