Yoruba ruler in Bauchi congratulates new Alaafin of Oyo

The traditional ruler of the Yoruba Community in Bauchi State, Alhaji Tirimisiyu Tijani Adegoke, has congratulated the new Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Abimbola Akeem Owoade, on his ascension to the throne.
This contained in a congratulatory message made available to Journalists on Tuesday in Bauchi
Alhaji Adegoke described Oba Owoade’s emergence as an act sanctioned by God and expressed his hope that the new Alaafin’s reign will bring prosperity and good tidings to the people of Oyo town.
Oba Adegoke also urged Oba Owoade’s contenders to cooperate with him and work towards moving Oyo town forward.
He emphasized that only God Almighty enthrones and that a truce must be found after every contest.
Meanwhile, Oyo State governor, Seyi Makinde, presented a certificate of office to Oba Abimbola Owoade on Monday at the Oyo State Government House in Agodi, Ibadan.
“ Prince Owoade was announced as the Alaafin-elect on Friday, succeeding Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III, the 44th Alaafin of Oyo, who passed away two years ago. Other dignitaries, including Prince Ayobami Ladigbolu, have also congratulated Oba Owoade on his new role.,” he said.
